|
a) Overview of System & Market Requirements Mobile Identification solutions are often required for situations where the environment has no power points or basic infrastructure & where the area of identification for an individual is not fixed and is dynamic. As such, a mobile biometric identification device is required. The device has to be light and battery to last for at least 6 to 8 hours. There must be some form of docking station for the portable device to synchronize and transfer all transactions and recorded data to the PC or server. b) System SolutionIDLink has a system where we work with several mobile device offerings that combine the fingerprint and facial capture for Backend AFIS Identification. There will be a system for enrollment of fingerprint or face through IDCube Desktop enrollment kit. The biometric templates are then sent to all the mobile devices either wirelessly or through Windows Mobile synchronization. The mobile identification devices can be used to clock the hours of trainers in training environment or for immigration to do spot checks on suspicious immigrants. Our mobile identification devices can also be used in Clubs where members place their fingerprints to make their orders which are then linked automatically to their credit cards for payment of the food being ordered. c) Target Applications & Marketa) Time & Attendance of mobile staffs or trainers at mobile or temporary sites b) Identification of individuals by Immigration officers at border points c) Identification of individuals in Cars or Buses at various border checkpoints d) Case StudyThe Club uses Biometric Mobile Solution for ordering of various set meals or lunches. The solution offers the member the convenience to swipe his fingerprint for authentication first if he forgets his membership card. Upon successful matching through IDLink’s IDCube backend system, the member is identified. He is then allowed to proceed with his ordering. The system then links the member’s ID to his credit card for later processing and payment for the food ordered.
